Details
This clincher version of the Ksyrium Pro Carbon SL is the lightest-ever member of Mavic’s Ksyrium clincher family, at just 1390 grams per pair, saving power and making you faster overall. Mavic used their finite element simulation software to maintain strength and reliability while shaving the weight of the rims down to an incredible 320 grams each. The 24 rear spokes feature IsoPulse lacing, which creates better spoke tension balance, making the wheel more stiff, stable, and durable. TgMAX rim technology delivers exceptional braking performance with a special resin and carbon layup formula that resists heat buildup so you can maintain control and confidence in your equipment throughout those never-ending descents you work so hard to earn. And, these fly-weight wheels let you control the road with front- and rear-specific GripLink and PowerLink tires, designed for superb control and exceptional durability.
TgMax
Reliability and heat-dissapation:
TgMAX refers to the maximum temperature a carbon rim can withstand before turning from a hard substance into a soft, rubbery substance. TgMAX technology consists in laying up several types of high technology resins, then fixing them using a proprietary heat treatment process to achieve the highest possible resistance to braking heat, ensuring absolute rim integrity under heavy braking.
GripLink
Grip and control:
A front tire, whether a clincher or a tubular, must enhance the front wheel’s ability to grip the road and control the bike. Therefore, GripLink tires are optimized for front use by offering superior cornering grip and extra puncture protection.
PowerLink
Low rolling resistance:
A rear tire, whether a clincher or a tubular, must enhance the wheel’s ability to transfer power and generate speed. Therefore, PowerLink tires are optimized for rear wheel use by minimizing rolling resistance.
Instant Drive 360
Instant energy transmission:
The Instant Drive 360 freewheel system is superlight and engages quickly with only 9 degrees of free movement between engagement points. A large, contactless, rubber seal provides low friction, while a wide array of end caps makes it extra versatile.
Isopulse
Optimum energy transfer:
The spokes are laced radially on the drive side and 2-cross on the non-drive-side to maximize drive-side dish, providing a better spoke tension balance between left and right flanges.
QRM
Qualité de Roulements Mavic:
Mavic uses only high-quality sealed cartridge bearings. On QRM wheels, these bearings feature double seals (2RS or LLU) along with tight, C3 internal clearances.
